It has come to my attention that the plates that you have received needs to be recall due to the new 230RC Block. . In the original design the slot was supposed to work for both the old and new (comes with the engine) blocks. We realized that the slot hung out when it was mounted on the old block and that's when we added the hole and rotated the block.
I am still arguing with people about whether or not it will work. It's so close to the edge and the pulse pressure is so minimal I really thought it would work. Regardless, there is still the perception that it won't. I have stopped production on the plates and redesigned them so there is a hole to the block and a half depth slot over to the carburetor. With myself and QSAC we approve the old plates without thinking the slot location is going to be a problem with the new 230RC block
If you are using the old block, this should not be a problem of leakage. If you want to keep the plates as is and you are using the old block then don't send them back, however the new design will not effect performance in any way or to give a advantage as the blue printed design will not change except the for the slot..
To receive the new design plates, send me back the old ones and for no charge I will ship you the new design plates.
I apologize to you and the membership for any mistakes. Please have patience to wait for the new plates. New plates will have to be sent to QSAC once again for approval before we let them out on the market.
Email or call me for any questions or call your elective QSAC board member for additional information
